A healthy diet is a method of balancing the food you eat to keep your body fit and full of energy. Diet based on whole grains, nuts, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats with small amounts of meat has been found to contain all the nutrition needed for a healthy life.

Vitamin supplements are not a replacement. They do not offer all the necessary vitamins and minerals the body needs. Vitamins are not as expensive as you think. Most fresh food, fruit and vegetable contain some vitamins such as vitamin C in Oranges and B12 are found in meat.

If your goal is to reduce body weight may have to limit and vary the amount that you eat and increase the amount of regular physical activity in your life.

Healthy eating need not be boring or time consuming. Meals need not taste bland or tasteless. It’s just a matter of a good cookbook.

Healthy foods contain vitamins, minerals and fibre. Not-so-healthy foods contain lots of sugar salt and fat. A healthy diet is essential to health.
